Mezic Media is a consultancy specializing in digital graphic design, UI/UX design and overall branding of products. We create killer identities that make products really pop in the marketplace, and we create fun mobile apps that people love to use.
Scott Lewallen is the good ship Mezic’s fearless founder and captain. A design and marketing whiz with quite the pedigree, Scott’s been in the game 10 years and counting. Just a couple of early career highlights include stints as art director at E! Entertainment and creative director at Atlantis Events.
In 2009, Scott co-founded a little gay dating app that some of you may have heard of … it’s called Grindr. Scott became Grindr’s senior vice president of product and design, and in that role, he directed all product development, UI/UX design and graphic design. His leadership and his team’s efforts defined the brand and helped Grindr grow into the largest and most popular all-male geosocial mobile app, from zero to 6 million users in 192 countries.
In March 2013, Scott left Grindr to make his triumphant return to the world of consulting, resurrecting the Mezic brand that he’d launched right before co-founding Grindr. Mezic has done projects for various industries, including health and fitness; entertainment; and technology; and we’re keyed into niche audiences, including the LGBT community.
Born and raised in Southern California, Scott is, by his own admission, a gay geek. He also happens to be a USC alum and overall nice guy whose favorite things are art, technology, skyscrapers, football, beer, and, of course, sharks.
